Limits
What this site does not claim
A result without its limits cannot be verified. Here are mine, as of 8 October 2026.
ReviewMy deposited documents are open-access preprints. They are not peer-reviewed.
LeaderboardsA leaderboard position is a dated state; it can be taken over. When a solution was submitted after a competition closed, I say so.
OptimalityUnless stated otherwise, my solutions are the best known at a given date, not proven optima.
Embedded AIMy certifiable embedded AI is at the prototype stage, on the test bench: it has not yet been demonstrated on a real-world task, nor installed in a product.
ProvenanceSome results improve on solutions already published by others; I say so next to the result.
Intelligence“Artificial intelligence” here means a family of computing systems, with their objective: “Another kind” describes a difference in nature, not a faculty: I claim neither understanding nor cognition.
VisionInteraction with language models, self-improvement, learning from the environment and the use of the Atlas by my AI, up to a visual environment, are research objectives, not results. Frugality is a design choice: no energy measurement is published.
DataThe fruit-fly connectome I use is the one published by the FlyWire consortium; I use it for research, under its terms of use. It is my test bench for understanding mechanisms; my embedded AI will reuse the mechanisms, not the data. I do not claim to reproduce how the fly works.
MethodMy method is not published. Results and certificates are: they can be checked without knowing it. I claim no superiority over other systems.
MeansI work alone, in my personal time, outside my professional activity, on accessible hardware: a desktop computer, a Raspberry Pi 5 and a Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller, and the server that hosts this site. Details are in the research programme.
When an error is found, the correction appears as a new version of the document concerned, with a history that remains available.
